Who am I? Well in short I am a father of 3, Husband, and someone who has a passion for Life, and anything new. I have spent the past 25 years in the Restaurant industry, which in my opinion, is the last institutionalized form of Slave Labor. When you have spent the majority of your life making more money for the person or company you work for than yourself,and missing out on many of the things that your children do while growing up seems far to steep. The worst part of my Career choice is that I thought I was actually making good money!
Now do not get me wrong, it is not all doom and gloom, my children got a good education, had clothes, food on the table, and health insurance. We managed to take vacations when we could, and that would not have been possible if I did not make the amount of money that I made. But 60 hours a week as an average for the last 25 years has taken it's toll on me physically and mentally.You factor in 12-15 hours a day at work and 6-8 hours of sleep. That leaves little time for much else.
When you get to a point in your life where you no longer have a passion for what you do, and Physically and Mentally cannot get up the drive or determination to go do a job that gets even more demanding than it was 20 years ago, what Choices do you have?
Well my decision was to educate myself in a whole new field. My wife and I have 2 grown children and I cannot turn back the clock and make up for missed time with them but there is still plenty of time to spend with them and the only way that was going to be possible was to be self employed. And we were also blessed with another child who is now 10 and growing like a weed. I needed to learn a whole new way of earning an income from home.
This journey started 3 years ago and to date has been one program after another, and one failure after another. Until recently, I have had a few successes here and there but nothing consistent.It was time to empower my self and find a way that could replace my current income and give me the freedom to be my own Boss.
It took a lot of wrong turns to finally find something that could not only teach me the things that I needed to learn, but give me the tools, resources and on going training, that is necessary to survive in a career choice like Internet Marketing.
A wise man once said that "if you continue to do things the same way and expect a different result," that is the definition of insanity. And I for one believe that to be very true.
I also needed to learn something that would allow me to keep my current job, and income, so that I would not have to take out loans, or grants, or put my financial future at risk while I learned a new profession. That is not asking for much now is it? (Ha!)
There is no such thing as something for nothing but with due diligence, you can find an education in the world of Internet marketing that is well worth the time effort and money. Do you want to be your own Boss? was all that I needed to ask myself and How are you going to accomplish that?
Did you know that two of the highest paid professions in this country are Entertainers, and salespeople? Now Entertainers include professional athletes, Actors, Actresses, Comedians etc.. And I am way past the point of playing any professional sport, but a world of sales can be accomplished by anyone at any age.
I am looking forward to the next 10 years and feel secure in the fact that if I work as hard for myself as I have for my previous employers, then the sky is the limit.
